Bankers Hill

A journal of San Diego

Balboa Park’s western neighbor combines a regular street grid with slopes, canyons and buildings from different periods.

The City’s Uptown Community Plan describes Bankers Hill/Park West through its position west of Balboa Park, its sloping topography and the contrast between a regular street grid and canyon edges.[16] Those conditions help explain why a neighborhood walk is more informative than a simple proximity label. Look at entrances, crossings and changes in grade as well as architectural style.

Balboa Park’s attractions keep their own hours, so check the official visitor information when combining a neighborhood outing with a museum or garden visit.[13] Our accompanying image is of California Tower from Alcazar Garden inside the park, not a residential view.

San Diego Taking Shape is CAST-owned. Broderick, a CAST-affiliated residential project, lists 301 Spruce Street on its official website.[9] This is a disclosed neighborhood connection, not an independent endorsement or a statement about current availability.
